After a few years working 'back stage' in broadcast television production, Peter Lock spent around thirty five years working as a very successful graphic designer, first in Britain's most successful independent television company, and then in several design businesses of his own.
But now he paints for himself.
His current works are seemingly pure, clear, simplifications of the reality around him. But they are a careful, considered, stepping down of unnecessary elements. He tries to present the reality in a more simple, pure 'abstraction', that holds the necessary information to remain a true representation of our sight.
Since beginning these paintings Peter has moved from England to Wales and then to Italy, but now lives in The Cyclades Islands of Greece.
